SPARKLE LIKE A UNICORN

A back to basics tutorial.

All ideas are my own, similarities to anyone else is purely coincidental.

Materials Required

Tube of choice – I used one from The Paper Shelter

Font of choice – I used Moonstone

Mask – I used is by Vix_Mask12

I have Vix's permission to share this mask.

Check out her blog at VIXPSP

Word Art of choice or use mine below.

Filters Used -

DSB Flux – Linear Transmisson.

Penta – Colour Dot.

Tramages – Tow The Line.

Let us begin.

Open a new canvas 850 x 850

pick out 2 contrasting colours from your tube and change to gradient.

Flood fill your layer & add Gaussian blur – Radius 25.

Apply your mask & merge group.

Apply Linear Transmission with these settings

Apply Colour Dot with these settings

Duplicate the layer & on the duplicate apply Tow The Line with these settings

Change layer to overlay.

With your preset shapes select Elipse, line style solid, width 8, Foreground colour white, Background colour Null. Draw out a large circle

(see my tag for reference)

Convert to raster.

Draw out a second circle this time line style Dashed, make this one slightly bigger than the solid line one.

I added Drop Shadow to both of these layers with these settings

H 3 V -3 Opacity 30 Blur 5 Colour Black.

Go back to your Preset Shapes pick a Star shape, change your line style back to Solid & change the Width to 10 once happy with size & placement convert to raster.

With your magic wand click inside the star, go to selections & expand by 4

Add a new layer and drag under the Star, you can now either use the same gradient as earlier and flood fill or pick a paper if you are using a Kit and paste into selection.

If using the gradient apply the Gaussian Blur as before & apply the colour dot.

Resize & paste you tube in the centre of the star, carefully erase the parts that are overlapping the star at the bottom. I click inside the star with the magic wand, go to selections and invert, then click on the tube layer and erase the parts you want to remove.

Apply drop shadow to both the star & tube layers.

Add your word art & add the drop shadow.

Add any other sparkles or brushes as you like to spruce it up.

Add your name & copyright details

Merge all layers & save as png.

DARKEST NIGHT

This tutorial was written by me on April 19th 2023.

My ideas are my own.

Any similarity to another is purely coincidental & unintentional.

A basic knowledge of PSP is required.

Supplies Required -

Image of choice. I used one by Lianne Issa, she has general permission for usage. You can find her artwork HERE

Scrap Kit or Elements of choice. I used elements from a kit from Wicked Diabla called Milena but any grey / black kit could work.

Mask 307 by Mizteeque

Word Art of choice, I made my own and it is available below if you want to use it.

Plugins

Xero – Clarity (default settings)

Eye Candy 5 - Gradient Glow

Drop Shadow

V – 0

H - -4

O – 25

B – 15

Font of choice I used - Maldivine

Open new image 800 x 800

Flood fill – white

copy and paste your image as a new layer, apply mask, merge group.

Apply Xero - Clarity

Copy and paste your image again, this time move it over to the left hand side and apply the mask again, merge group.

Again apply Clarity.

Line up your second image layer with the first one, it can be a little tricky that's why its best to have a base colour on your bottom layer (it can be deleted later)

Once lined up duplicate the second image layer.

Arrange your elements on your tag, see finished tag for my placements.

Any pieces you feel are too strong drop the opacity to blend into the mask layers

Add drop shadow to your elements.

Add the word art & add drop shadow if required.

Delete your white layer.

Merge visible.

Add your name text & appy the gradient glow if desired, the settings I used are above.

Add the copyright info.

Save as png.

Right click & save

LOST IN THOUGHT

This tutorial was written by Whippy on March 28
th 2023.

A general knowledge of PSP is needed.

My ideas are my own, any similarity to another is purely coincidental & certainly unintentional.

Supplies Needed:-

Tube of choice – I used Candy Doll by Vadis, this can be purchased at Pics For Design  HERE (used with license)

Scrap Kit of choice – The kit I used is a PTU called Amore by Wicked Diabla HERE

Mask – 036 by Karamlized Kreationz HERE

Font of choice – I used England which you can get HERE

Filters used – Gradient Glow (Eye Candy 4000) This is optional.

I use drop shadow with the settings throughout as needed.

H – 0

V – 5

Opacity – 25

Blur – 15

Open new image 800 x 800

Select all, I used paper 4 from my kit, copy & paste into selection, deselect.

Apply mask from image.

Resize your tube 42% and paste as a new layer, move to the right.

I chose a frame element (25) from my kit resized to 60%

Paste as a new layer. Use the magic wand tool and click inside the frame, go to selections, expand by 5

Duplicate your mask layer, selections, invert, hit delete, deselect.

Duplicate your tube layer and move it under the frame, repeat the above steps that you did on the mask layer.

Change to hard light and reduce opacity to 75%.

Once you are happy with the frame merge the duplicated mask & tube layers add your drop shadow to the frame and merge together. Duplicate this layer go to free rotate and rotate 25 to the left.

Free rotate the original frame layer 12 to the left.

Now use different elements to dress up your frame. I used

5, 45, 54, 95, 98 & 118. See finished tag for placements.

I also used the teddy bear, cup and saucer & the cake stand elements. But it's your choice.

Once you are happy with the placements merge visible and add your copyright information, a pixel font is best for those.

Add your name text and the gradient glow if you prefer.

Merge visible & save as png.
